The next generation had the chip already built into the vario. This was true for the first generation Flytec/Bräuniger varios with GPS, the Competino/5020 and the Compeo/5030. Posted: Sun 12:46 UTC Post subject: RE: IQ Basic / GPS Brauniger - data transfer

There is a chip hidden in the serial to usb kabel, you need to buy a new one. Posted: Sun 12:41 UTC Post subject: RE: IQ Basic / GPS Brauniger - data transfer Hereby I'd like to express my deep and sincere gratitude for all participating in this thread thanks to whom I eventually managed to download my flights' logs and upload them to the server I use. Posted: Fri 20:53 UTC Post subject: RE: IQ Basic / GPS Brauniger - data transfer I work for Volirium, but unless stated otherwise, the above is my personal opinion as a pilot. Instead, go to "Logs" - "Read IQ Basic / Flytec 6015" towards the bottom. Posted: Fri 15:52 UTC Post subject: RE: IQ Basic / GPS Brauniger - data transferįor the IQ Basic GPS, there is no download button on the GPS dump main page. Tried two good and trustful USB/mini-USB cabels! And by the way, my flights' logs ARE in my Brauniger memory - confirmed it in its menu!Ģ.

Guys, I installed the driver successfully, connected my Brauniger which appeared in the "Device manager" as (COM12), set this COM12 in the "GPS dump", still the "GPS dump" is continuously not downloading any data from my Bruniger as it used to be with my old and now broken "Garmin", no matter which button I press ("Compeo/Competino", "Flytec 5020/5030" and all the others.) I've tried all of them and almost always received "Requesting product info" and that's it. Posted: Fri 11:15 UTC Post subject: RE: IQ Basic / GPS Brauniger - data transfer I have this GPS and that is how I connect with it. GPS dump you select download flights from Flytech 6015. Both of those you may need to tell it what Serial Port, usually 3 or 5. You need to view it with FLychart or with GPS Dump. It does not mount as a Windows mass storage device or similar. The fact it says USB mode usually means it is connected properly. See also the manual for data exchange and data transfer. Your "Basic" isn't like a typical modern USB device which appears usually as mass storage device on your computer. Therefore you need the Prolific USB-Serial Driver, who "translate" from USB to COMx, described on top of the mentioned Flytec support page. Posted: Thu 10:15 UTC Post subject: RE: IQ Basic / GPS Brauniger - data transferĪlthough your device has an USB interface, the device communicates, simplified said, via a virtual serial COM-port with your computer. So, which exactly file do I need to download and install, please.

There is this adapter presented on it and I sought some of those software applies to it but I thought I wouldn't need it since my device features mini-USB interface. I think I was on that page but not sure what to download. What am I doing wrong? Do I need some additional drivers to install on my computer to make it work.? Or maybe some special software for this purpose? Thank you in advance for your help.

It immediately assumed "USB-mode" but no drivers seemed to be installed on my PC and the device is NOT visible in Windows-explorer to allow me to download files containing logs of my flights. Recently I bought a used variometer as in the subject, performed few flights with it and connected this piece of paragliding equipment, which features mini-USB interface, to my PC (Win 7) in order to transfer flight logs there.
